Unwarranted attitude is a big problem when you work with the public. The majority of people you serve seem to feel as though they have some form of superiority over you because you're serving them, this is doubled when you work in a dep or in the food industry. Word to the wise, don't give a large amount of attitude to someone who has complete control over what goes into the food you ordered so dickishly.
For instance, not ten minutes ago I had a customer who gave me the most attitude I've ever recieved without reason. He asked what was in the tuna salad and cut me off, snapping at me because there was celery in it. He ordered a ham panini, to which I asked what he wanted in it. He did not reply so I assumed nothing other than ham and swiss. As I put it in the grill I asked if he wanted anything else or just the sandwich, "yeah, JUST the sandwich." He replied. "Alrighty, please come to the cash so I can pass it through." I tell him the price, he throws a $10 bill at me. I hand him his change and ask if he wants his receipt. "YES." As he scoffs and rolls his eyes. I go to hand it to him, but he snatches it off of the printer. I ask again "did you want anything else in the panini?" Again he just glares at me. Okay. So I finish up, wrap the panini and hand it to him, again he snatches it out of my hand and says "asshole" under his breath. I say "have a good night!" He turns around and says straight to my face: fuck off.
With a wink and smile I reply: enjoy the sandwich.
