The Night Bus

Don't get me wrong, the night buses here have saved my ass more than enough times at 3am after late nights at the bars/shows etc., and the new routes that they take to come back to the West Island from Downtown are the best thing to happen to the night routes, however I have a problem with a lot of the night bus drivers.

In my experience, the majority of these drivers are rude, pushy and just overall don't care about anyone. I've been on the bus (the 356 when it ran all the way to St Anne’s, which was a good 1-1.5 hour ride just to get to my stop) when suddenly the driver decides that he wants Tim Horton’s, so he stops the bus outside a Tim Horton’s, doesn't say anything, and walks inside to order his food, drink and have a chat for a good 15 minutes. Last night we were waiting for the 371 at Atwater, contemplating whether it was worth it to get McDonald's there and catch the next night bus, or catch the one that was to come in 7 minutes and get McDonald's near our destination. We decided on the latter, and proceeded to wait, for a bus that was almost 30 minutes late, then when he finally let people on the bus; did he go straight away on his route? No, no he did not. He sat on his seat, just waiting for nothing, until randomly deciding to leave maybe 10 minutes after just sitting there with no one else getting on, bringing us to our destined McDonald's around 4am, allowing us only to get back home about 4:30, to which I had to wake up at 9. So today I am a very bitter and tired person, and the STM needs to step up the game, because the buses are constantly late, with majority of the bus drivers being surly, rude or just complete dicks.
